repurposing

Like I mentioned in my post about repurposing an Izze bottle, I have trouble throwing out glass jars/bottles. I have been keeping jars as we use them up and I noticed I have collected quite a few pretty quickly.

I felt like I needed to do something before Seth made me throw them out for taking up so much space! While watching Conan the other night I crocheted this hanging lantern/vase using some twine.

I love the rustic look of it! I plan on making a few of these and hanging them around our bath tub and using tea lights in them for a nice relaxing soak!
.

I also picked up a couple items from the thrift store last weekend to redecorate. I wrapped a hurricane vase with the twine and mod podged glitter to a scratched up flower pot. I think the results were cute! Easy & cheap home decor!

.

Wouldn't the vase be pretty filled with sea shells? Note to self: collect lots of shells on our next beach vacation!
